John Burland
Composer Biography
John Burland is an educator and composer who has been writing and recording religious music for children and adults for over twenty years. During this time he has written and recorded more than 150 songs and published ten music collections which are used extensively in school/parish communities across Australia and North America. In 2008, two of John's liturgical compositions, 'Come O Holy Spirit' and 'Lord By Your Cross' were included in the official World Youth Day liturgies in Sydney, Australia. John has worked with children, parents and educators in schools, parish communities and educational institutions across Australia, New Zealand and North America promoting celebration through song, movement, meditative prayer and story. He is a highly sought after keynote speaker, workshop leader and published author in the area of music and catechesis. John has contributed to several Religious Education Journals, including 'Catechist' published in the United States and distributed worldwide. John's music is available via Willow Publishing Pty Ltd.
