Chris de Silva
Composer Biography
Chris de Silva is originally from Singapore and presently lives in Los Angeles, California. He is the director of music ministry at St. Brendan Catholic Church and School. Chris studied composition and film scoring at the University of Southern California under Morten Lauridsen, Donald Crockett, and Christopher Young. Chris has performed at World Youth Day in Denver, Colorado and has ministered at Los Angeles Archdiocesan events and USCCB conferences. He has played in concerts and liturgies at the Los Angeles Religious Education Congress in Anaheim, California. Chris released his first CD, One Love/One Song, in February 2007, and his latest collection Belong in 2009 with GIA Publications, Inc. Both albums are available in Australia and New Zealand through Willow Connection.
