Colin Gibson

  Composer Biography


Colin Gibson is Emeritus Professor English at the University of Otago, New Zealand and a contemporary hymn writer whose original words and music are found in many national and international hymnbooks. He conducts many workshops on hymn writing and hymn texts. He has been writing and publishing hymns since 1972. Colin was awarded the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to music and education in 2002.
