Amanda McKenna is a professional singer-songwriter and workshop facilitator based in the Blue Mountains west of Sydney, Australia. Most recently Amanda worked as a composer-in-residence and specialist music consultant for Catholic Education in the Diocese of Parramatta. This work involved the composition of songs suitable for use in the Catholic context, as well as facilitating staff development and student workshops. It also involved being a guest musician at school and diocesan liturgies, and working with school communities in the composition of school and college anthems, as well as songs for special occasions.

Amanda has composed music and performed at diocesan, state and national gatherings. She has years of experience as a professional composer and performer for television, radio, recording, and in the live rock music scene. She continues to perform in concert both in Australia and overseas and works as a guest conductor for creative arts festivals and as director of music for special events. Willow Publishing released Amanda's first album, 'Gather As One' in 2008. It is distributed in Australia and New Zealand by Willow Connection. Amanda often works with other Willow composers providing music workshops and performances showcasing Australian music.
