Gina Ogilvie

  Composer Biography

Gina was born and raised in North Queensland and is now living in Sydney. Gina's performing career began at the tender age of 3, crossing genres from Musical Theatre, Jazz, Blues and Country Music. Country stayed in her blood, and Gina won many awards around Queensland and Tamworth. After graduating from the University of Southern Queensland majoring in theatre, Gina began writing original songs, and performing them in numerous venues in and around Sydney. She has a truly unique sound. People are always amazed to hear such a rich, strong voice coming out of a tiny framed woman. Gina is a story-teller. Her lyrics are heartfelt with the capacity to touch and deeply affect people who hear her songs.

Gina was the Project Manager for As One Voice - The Next Generation, a job that she found exciting, nspiring, challenging, and exhausting! Part of her role for this project was to record and produce some of the "rough diamond" songs, which were chosen for inclusion in the collection. Through Gina's ministry of music, she hopes her music will touch the lives of all who listen to her songs, and that the listener will have a spiritual connection with the Divine, as only the power of music can do. Gina's album, 'Gift of Grace', was released by Willow Publishing in 2009 and is available in Australia and New Zealand through Willow Connection.
