Alicia Rowe

  Composer Biography


Alicia Rowe retired from teaching at Gifu Women's University, Japan in 2000. Since then, she has become a Eucharistic Minister to the homebound. She also delivers Meals on Wheels. Alicia plays guitar with, and announces for, "The Why Nots" a group of six women who have been singing together for 39 years. With Sally Wolf, the composer, and Father Michael Manning, author of the libretto, Alicia wrote the lyrics for a musical on the life of St. Paul. Alicia lives in Riverside, California and frequently visits her three children and five grandchildren who are scattered from Portland, Oregon to Iowa City to Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania.
